Princess Dr. Moradeun Ogunlana is descended from one of the oldest and most distinguished royal family lines in Lagos, Nigeria. She is the granddaughter of His Royal Majesty, David Ajasa Ogunlana, the Obanikoro of Lagos, in Nigeria, who ruled from 1948 to 1969. She is also the great-granddaughter of the ninth ruling King of Remoland, in Nigeria, His Royal Majesty, Oba Liyangu Owabagbe Adenuga. The King of Lagos, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyinka Oyekan, who ruled from 1964 to 2003, was her uncle.
Princess Deun is the President/CEO of Innovative Global Consulting (IGC) Group of Companies, an Infrastructure, Agriculture, Energy, Business, and Economic Development corporation connecting businesses in Africa to the World. As the Founder/CEO of African Women’s Health Project International (AWHPI), she leads an international non-profit group that focuses on empowering women globally thru access to healthcare, economic empowerment, agriculture and trade associations, cultural developments, and partnerships.
She is the organizer of the African Health Conference and Symposium in the USA and coordinates free medical missions in Africa, and the Convener of the Annual Global Summit on Women Empowerment at the United Nations Headquarters, NY.
Princess Deun has years of commercial and consulting expertise in developed and emerging markets, and has successfully initiated and concluded numerous successful partnering alliances. She has assisted in the positioning of new products and technologies by producing actionable market research, technology assessment, and competitive intelligence studies.
Princess Ogunlana was recently inducted at the UCT in United Nations as an Ambassador of Culture uniting USA - China - Africa; by promoting Culture, Development and Health wellness among the women of the World; and promoting Peace Building. In 2014, she was inducted as an Ambassador for Peace by the Universal Peace Federation (Nigeria chapter) at the United Nations, and currently serves as the International Coordinator for the Nigerian Ambassador for Peace in the Diaspora Initiatives. She is the Visioneer of the just concluded 2014 New York International Elite Global Councilwoman Summit and the 2016 First Ladies Forum and Economic Development Summit in Washington, DC and “The Councilwoman” Pinning Inductions at the United Nations.
Princess Moradeun Ogunlana served (two) five-years terms as a Commissioner with the Little Rock Sister Cities Commission, appointed by the Mayor of Little Rock, and served for five years as a Little Rock Chambers of Commerce Ambassador from 2005 – 2016. She is a journalist known as "Princess Deun" the host of For the Love of Africa, a television show on TV Channel 18 in Arkansas. In 2005, Ms. Ogunlana was named a finalist for the Minority Business of the Year by the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce/Small Business Administration. She served on the Ambassador Club as an Ambassador of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce from 1999 – 2002 and 2005 -2006.
Princess Ogunlana has received numerous humanitarian awards, commendations, and congressional citations, and most recently the Governor’s Excellence Award from the state of Arkansas. Princess Dr. Ogunlana’s honors include: The 2016 “THE G-9 GLOBAL LADY ICON Woman of the Year Award; Elite Member, National Association of Professional Women (NAPW); member of the Board of Governors and Trustees, The Loving Arms Inc Foundation; Recognized and Listed in the Honor’s Edition, 2011-2015 Cambridge Who’s Who Among Executives and Professional Women in America; and the GOVERNOR EXCELLENCE Award for Exceptional public service to the State of Arkansas.
In 2016, Princess Ogunlana was conferred and hooded with the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, PhD in Humanities and Humane Letters (Honoris Causa) from CICA International University and Seminary in New York, NY on October 1, 2016. Furthermore, she was honored as a Distinguished Fellow with the International Institute of Management – Africa (IIM-Africa). She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) in 1991 with a BA in Journalism and has completed Graduate and further IT studies in Master of International Consulting and Public Health Policy from the Southern California University for Professional Studies in Santa Ana, California and Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia respectively.
