Katrien Hinderdael is the Power Africa Country Manager for East Africa at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). She has been at USTDA since 2016 and is responsible for business development, project preparation and evaluation, and supervision of USTDA’s energy activities in East Africa.
Katrien is a member of the agency's Renewable Energy Sector Team and Smart Grid Sector Team. Prior to USTDA, Ms. Hinderdael worked as a Research Assistant at The Enough Project, a non-profit organization focused on the prevention of genocide and crimes against humanity in Central Africa. She holds an MA from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a BA from the University of Virginia.
