Dr. Samuel Kwadwo Frimpong is currently a Technical Economic Advisor to the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and the Founding Executive Director of the Aliu Mahama Foundation. He is also the former national President of the University Students Association of Ghana (USAG) where he contributed immensely to the development of student leaders across Ghana and made critical policy input to the National Youth Policy of Ghana, the Students Loan Trust and the Ghana Education Trust Fund. At the Aliu Mahama foundation, Dr Frimpong has championed the economic empowerment of rural women, promoted girl child education through scholarships and livelihood empowerment for many vulnerable groups of people in mostly Northern part of Ghana. The foundation trained over 260 rural women on how to make cosmetics and soaps from Shea Butter.
Dr. Frimpong has over the years imparted his knowledge to several students as a lecturer at the University of Professional Studies, Accra where he lectured Economics, Research Methods and Business Policy and Strategy. He was also a Lecturer at Academic City College (formerly Sikkim Manipal University), an Adjunct Lecturer at University College of Entrepreneurship, Institute of Technology and visiting lecturer to Noble International Business School all in Accra. At the private sector front, Dr Frimpong served as the Managing Director of Afro Arab Group of Companies in 2015 and 2016 in building subsidiary businesses in microfinance, football team, farming and construction.
Dr. Frimpong is a Charted Management Consultant and also Charted Professional Administration Consultant. He holds PhD in Industrial Economics, Masters in Business Administration, Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices, Postgraduate Certificate in Public Administration, an Advance Certificate in Project Management and BSc in Agricultural Technology (Agric Economics).
He is an anchor part of the team tasked with the oversight responsibility for the coordination of the Nation Builders Corps and the Zongo (Inner Cities) Development Fund at the office of the Vice President of Ghana. He supported the CEO of the Nation Builders Corps to successfully roll out employment program providing opportunities for over 100,000 Ghanaian graduates. This initiative has made significant impact in mitigating the youth unemployment situation in Ghana over the past 3 years. He also led the establishment of the Zongo (Inner Cities) Development Fund Secretariat and still providing management support to the secretariat.
