He also serves as Director of Splash Mobile Money, a mobile payments company in Sierra Leone where he provides strategic guidance on all matters concerning the company. He is also an advisor to several payments companies implementing start of the art blockchain solutions the cover the whole of Africa and the United States.

Prior to Feleman, Mr. Sawyerr spent fifteen years in management consulting and Fortune 500 corporations. He led strategic and organization transformation projects at Booz Allen Hamilton and Accenture in Washington, D.C., and held leadership positions with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae over the years.

Mr. Sawyerr started his career at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Washington, D.C., in the Technology and General Services Group where he conducted economic research and data analysis in support of IMF country strategies in Africa, Asia and Europe.

Akin is a proven leader with over 18 years in strategic management, operations, and investment experience. He has driven organization initiatives in strategy, governance, transformation, process reengineering, performance management, stakeholder engagement, and internal and external communications. He has industry experience in financial technology, cybersecurity, international development, financial regulation, homeland security, and venture capital.

Akin holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics with a minor in Political Science from Union College, New York, and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from The Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He is a board member of the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network in Washington D.C., an alumni of the World Bank Institute, and the ASPEN Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE).
